I slept a lot today and stayed in bed until 16:00, what a shame! But it’s good to do it on Sundays, isn’t it?
Last Thursday I saw a TV show which talked about the Brazilians who live in Gort, it was very interesting, it seems Brazilians and Irish are getting along and that programme led me to search for different opinions, forums and blogs in the Internet. I found different point of views and loads of xenophobic people, but thank God, most people are happy with the presence of the Brazucas.
They have chosen to move to Ireland to work hard during a period, 2 or 3 years, and then go back to their land; many of them left part of their families behind and I bet all of them dream of their return with enough money in their pockets to build a better life. It is sad when you have to leave your country because you did not get enough good opportunities in life or the chance of being born into an upper-middle-class family.
I must thank all those Irish who are welcoming my compatriots and about those mad xenophobics…I must say, I fell in love with an Irishman and I do not intend to go back to Brazil for a while, and as a bonus, I love Ireland too.
